Our Values
We aim to create a space that is venturesome, empathetic, flexible, & illuminating—to form the foundation for strong partnerships & the well-being of the leaders we support.
We believe the most honest measure of our work comes from our partners. It’s why you’ll find their words woven throughout this page.
Venturesome
We are early believers & bold backers.
We invest on the strength of an organization’s future potential—not just its current budget. We embrace the risks of early‑stage work because transformative ideas often come before the infrastructure to support them. We challenge narrow definitions of risk in the sector. Without that, visionary leaders will continue to be overlooked. Our venturesome spirit is rooted in trust, curiosity, & a deep belief in what’s possible.

I truly believe that.”

Empathy
We know our partners take on hard challenges & not every day is a good day.
The work of leading a nonprofit is demanding, often isolating, & requires holding both vision & complexity. That’s why leaders need funders who can offer encouragement, humor, & a steady presence through the ups & downs of the work. They also need a safe place to be candid about their challenges without fear of jeopardizing support.
Flexible
We offer flexibility that supports thoughtful adjustments along the way.
If funders want leaders who are thoughtful, reflective, & adaptive, we must create an environment that gives them the space to pivot as things change. Effective leaders need time to stay focused on their organization’s mission. That’s why we keep our processes simple and only ask for information that genuinely informs our funding decisions.
…Trust-based approach enabled us to design & test out a new model

“We are so grateful for Collaborosity’s investment. Their funding & thought partnership have been critical to supporting Health Leads' Research & Development work to engage local communities in our innovation process to co-design solutions that enable their health, well-being & dignity. Their trust-based approach enabled us to design & test out a new model, engaging a cohort of local BIPOC leaders in a design lab to address challenges experienced by their communities & develop equitable solutions.
Not only did they serve as a strategic thought partner, they also extended that direct support to our grantees, helping design a funder roundtable to provide them with funder connections & guidance. Collborosity's partnership & commitment to community-driven innovation have been a crucial differentiator for us, & we encourage other funders to approach their investments similarly so we can continue to innovate with communities towards an equitable, just future.”
Illuminating
We believe in the power of bringing light to the strengths, stories, & potential of our partners.
To illuminate is to “make visible what may be hidden” & to encourage leaders to see themselves & their work in new, empowering ways. Through thoughtful questions & meaningful conversations, we aim to elevate the work of our partners & support their growth—both in the world & within themselves.
